Is this internship paid?
No. This is an unpaid vocational placement, not paid employment. Many interns go on to paid roles, though: more than 40% of our students are offered employment as a result of their placement.
Can I split the payment instead of paying in full?
Yes. You can pay in full or split the fee into 4 fortnightly payments. There are no ongoing fees.
What exactly does the fee cover?
A 12-week internship placement, host matching with a real Australian business in your field, resume and interview preparation, dedicated coordinator support throughout your placement, and a Certificate of Completion from Intern Gateway.
Is the Certificate of Completion a formal qualification?
No. The Certificate of Completion is issued by Intern Gateway and is not a nationally recognised qualification.
What’s the difference between in-company and virtual?
In-company placements are completed on site at your host’s workplace. Virtual placements are completed remotely with your host. Both run for 12 weeks with the same coordinator support.
How long does the placement run?
12 weeks.
What if Intern Gateway can’t find me a suitable host?

Clear terms, up front.
