How your placement works
From first registering with us through to completion, here is exactly what happens along the way — and what we take care of at each stage.
Register and tell us your course, discipline, and availability — whether you are a student on a university WIL requirement or a graduate looking for practical experience.
Our matching process pairs you with a host employer suited to your discipline and goals — taking into account any specific skills or requirements the host needs.
The host organisation reviews your match and, where they would like to proceed, we coordinate an interview — calendar invite and all.
Once both sides are happy to proceed, we issue a placement agreement for the student, host, and (where required) the university to sign off on — confirming the placement’s vocational basis from the outset.
Before day one, we confirm induction and workplace health & safety requirements are sorted with the host, so you start with everything you need.
We check in at key points — around week 2, week 6, and week 12 — to make sure the placement is on track for both you and the host.
At the end of the placement, the host completes an evaluation and you receive feedback — closing the loop for your university requirements and your own record.
